Global banking and financial services company Deutsche Bank recently installed a trial system at their Appold Street property. The system is showing excellent results and the bank's energy department have earmarked further sites for Cheetah installations.
FIT have been working with Tesco for over 10 years installing intelligent kitchen controls in their bakeries, deli, staff and customer kitchen areas. They have recently awarded FIT a new roll out contract to fit Cheetah Controls into 136 of their stores nationwide. FIT estimate that the savings will be in the region of 3.6GWh and 1500 tonnes of carbon each year.
Nationwide Building Society through their facilities management company Carillion have recently installed a Cheetah system in the
staff restaurant kitchen at their Swindon Administration Centre. The success of the system has led to Cheetah being proposed for a further four properties in 2012.
November 2011 saw the start of an on-going programme of Cheetah installations in Mitchell’s and Butlers pubs and restaurants throughout
the UK, including Toby Carvery, Harvester and Sizzling Pubs. Due to the success of this roll out and the excellent ROI being achieved, M&B has approved Cheetah to be installed in all future new build sites.
In 2011 FIT continued to supply its Cheetah Controls to TRG sites nationwide, including Frankie & Benny’s, Chiquitos and Garfunkels, from our first installations in 2007 and as a respected supplier we will continue to install Cheetah throughout 2012.
The Cheetah system has been installed in a number of hotels throughout the UK and Europe and we have recently signed a pan European contract to roll out the system across the Marriott properties, giving outstanding overall payback times in the UK of under 1.5 years.

Cheetah® Energy Controls now qualifies for Enhanced Capital Allowances enabling customers to write off the invoiced cost of Cheetah® eligible modules against tax in the first year. Cheetah® modules eligible are the display, sensor processor, power supply, temperature sensors, optic sensors, air flow sensor, carbon dioxide monitor and remote control-data logger. Installation costs, wiring and delivery can also be included.
New Britannia meets Britain's oldest food market at Roast, a restaurant and bar dedicated to classical British cooking using the finest seasonal produce. The restaurant is housed in the unique structure of the former portico of a flower market, inside which they serve gutsy food and delicious drinks. We have recently installed our energy saving control system Cheetah into the main kitchen at Roast restaurant, we monitored the extract and supply fans before and after our system was installed.
The total savings achieved are £7,290 per annum, giving a return on investment of 1.8 years.
We have recently installed our Cheetah energy controls at Hotel Reval, Latvia assisted by our partner in Latvia, Elsaver SIA. The system will give them huge savings of over 60% on the power consumption of the extract and supply fans in their main kitchen and a return on investment in under 18 months.
Food Industry Technical recently undertook a Investors in People 3 year review and were fortunate enough to reach the required standard to be recognised as an "Investor in People".
The Investors in People standard helps organisations meet and exceed their company goals and improve performance throughout the workplace.
A recent trial was carried out on a Sainsbury's bakery extract fan using Cheetah® controls and Trend Thimble Sensors. The results of this show that Cheetah® saved more than 80% of the fan energy but with the thimble sensors only 30% was saved. Before controls the fan was using 15596.45kWh per annum with Cheetah® it now only uses 2617.05kWh per annum, where as with the Trend controls its still using in excess of 10,000kWh per annum.
Our Cheetah® energy saving control system has been short listed for The Energy Product/Service Award sponsored by the Energy Institute. This award acknowledges the company which has launched a product or service based on its energy saving benefits.
Award winning hotel Claridges, is demonstrating significant progress in reducing its energy consumption by installing our Cheetah® system on their main kitchen extract and supply fans. In 2009, they won the bronze award for Green Tourism of London. With the investment they have made they will continue to reduce their impact on the environment but still maintaining the high standards that are expected of them.
Cheetah® energy saving controls helps Center Parcs meet their energy saving targets and protect the natural environment. Our controls have been installed in the Sports Cafe at Sherwood Forest and will save Center Parcs over £3k per annum on their energy bills.

As the supermarket chain’s commitment to energy reduction continues with phase 3 of their reset programme, Cheetah™ continues to form an important part of this initiative. With systems being fitted into the bakeries, staff and customer restaurants and the food to go areas, FIT are proud to be helping with the ambitious 15% consumption reduction across the estate.
The Cheetah™ System has recently been installed at the Kings Head in Wellesbourne.
M&B is keen to reduce their energy consumption across the estate and are looking to FIT to offer them a solution, trials will continue for a month and logged data will be compared from before and after trial.
